Rust Arrest (For Steel)
RAT -99 (3 in 1) is a single component derusting and phosphating chemical effectively works at ambient temperature on mild steel. RAT-99 a most economical product which works in three ways efficiently by cleaning, derusting and developing a thin passive film of
zinc phosphate on mild steel.
Multiple Advantages :
• Single application by brush or immersion / spray
• Single tank process low cost plants & equipments S.S., M.S. tank lined with pvc are suitable.
• Effective at ambient temperature 35 - 600 C works at room temperature slight heating recommended
• It saves energy. Time is 5 to 15 minutes depending upon surface condition.
• Bath concentration 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 by volume in water depends upon surface condition.
Important Notes :
• Do not wash job after phosphate dip. Simply wipe off or drip dry the excess solution of the surface.
• Maintain the bath by addition as per the production and drag out may be 10% to 30% of bath volume.
• CProtective measures : Gloves, Goggles, Respirator are must. Care should be taken to avoide contact of the product with
skin and eyes. Goggles and Rubber gloves should be used at all times while handling the product.
Charging of Phosphate Bath : 10 – 15gms / Lit. of steel, would be recommended for 2 – 4 hours.
Passivation :
For the longer use (storage) use Passival - RAT - 99 Chromate base properitory product after phosphate coating.
